Shoira Toirova has translated the acclaimed film, Girl Rising, into Tajiki with funds from an Alumni Small Grant. Girl Rising centers on the story of nine girls from developing countries as they pursue their desire for education. Ms. Toirova has had several showings of the film, targeted towards young males, in order to emphasis the need for educating young women in Tajikistan.
