Jarkinzoda Roziya: Summer Camp Promotes Volunteerism in Tajikistan

Forty-six students from Gurdofarid spent six-weeks participating in a summer camp about U.S history, culture, sports, and geography. Students learned about volunteerism in America and enjoyed a week-long trip to Kayrakkum. After the training, twenty-five of the students became volunteers and helped teach English to younger children and maintain the resource center in Gurdofarid.
